Calochortus weedii var. intermedius

Uncommon on dry, rocky slopes "especially near sandstone cliffs, in chaparral and coastal sage scrub; Chino Hills, Santa Ana Cyn., San Joaquin Hills, mountain foothills, and northern Santa Ana Mountains".  Can be more common following fire (Roberts). This variant occurs at elevations up to 2000 ft. Flowering: June and July (JM2).

California Native Plant Society  List 1B.2, species that are rare throughout their range and occur primarily in California, moderately threatened.
