| Several of these small bees were flying over Diadasia nests in what appeared to be a search pattern. Suddenly, a bee would peel off, enter a hole to a shallow depth (often its tail end remaining visible), dig around a bit, then leave abruptly. Flying along with them were a few bee flies (Paravilla fulvicoma) that didn't seem to be attacking these particular nests, although some were attacking nests a hundred feet or so down the trail. | |
