Leaves alternate, simple, entire, without stipules; fls. bisexual, regular in terminal panicles, sepals 5, petals 5, stamens 5, alternating with 5 staminodes, pistil 1, ovary superior, 1-2 celled, styles 1 or 2; fr. a drupe.
