Stamens 4 and didynamous, or rarely 2 or 5, inserted on corolla-tube.
Ovary 2-4 celled, ovules usually 1 in a cell; style simple; stigmas 1-2. Fruit dry, forming 2 or 4 bony nutlets or a drupe with 2-4
