Mesa Horkelia

Horkelia cuneata

An uncommon low herbaceous perennial with erect stems up to 70 cm. tall in openings of oak woodland, Santa Ana Mountains in the upper San Juan Creek watershed and Weir Canyon (Roberts). It is closely related to Cinquefoils (Drymocallis), but with fewer  stamens.  The fruit is an achene. Bloom time-Apr-Sept.
