Ground Pink

Linanthus dianthiflorus

A 2-5 inch showy annual common in grasslands and openings in coastal sage scrub, especially after fire. It is found in eastern foothills and Santa Ana Mountains; formerly abundant at lower elevations but has been lost there to urbanization (Roberts).
