Wood Rein Orchid Piperia elongata In addition to the population illustrated here, there are at least two known Orange County populations: in upper Trabuco Canyon and in the vicinity of Silverado Canyon. It occurs in mixed coniferous forest and the edges of oak woodland, under the shade of big-cone Douglas firs, California Bay Laurel and oaks. It blooms in June-July |
